Environmental leadership

Marinova is delighted to announce that its Environmental Management System (EMS) has recently received ISO 14001 certification.
ISO 14001 is an international standard recognising effective environmental management systems. This rigorous framework ensures businesses are proactively monitoring environmental performance, minimising environmental footprints, identifying environmental risks and opportunities, and fulfilling compliance obligations.
Speaking of the standard, Marinova's Quality Manager Dr Michelle Mendoza, explained, "We are delighted to add ISO 14001 to Marinova's extensive suite of existing certifications, including ISO 9001, HACCP and GMP accreditations. Marinova is continuously raising the bar in terms of environmental improvements across all facets of its operations – from the sustainable hand-harvesting of wild seaweed through to green chemistry fucoidan extraction, waste reduction and energy conservation."
The addition of ISO 14001 certification comes as Marinova reports record annual fucoidan production. The company's total production volume has more than doubled over the past three years.
Dr Mendoza finished, "ISO 14001 is testament to Marinova's dedication to a sustainable future, successfully blending environmental responsibility with exceptional marine biotechnology."
