What skill do you bring to Marinova?
I bring a strong foundation in quality control and chemical analysis, supported by more than eight years of experience in both the food and pharmaceutical industries. My ability to work with precision and consistency under strict regulatory frameworks allows me to perform laboratory testing with a high level of accuracy. I am detail-oriented, proactive, and confident in troubleshooting issues to maintain consistent results and uphold exceptional quality standards.
Can you tell us about your expertise?
I hold a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Brazil, and I am also trained as a Chemistry Technician. Additionally, I completed a Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control in Australia. My career has focused on laboratory operations in highly regulated environments, including ISO 17025 and TGA-accredited labs. I have worked extensively with chemical and microbiological testing, equipment calibration, and quality assurance protocols. My expertise lies in performing analytical tests across various sample types and ensuring compliance through accurate documentation and reporting. This background enables me to confidently contribute to Marinova’s high standards of purity, safety and ingredient performance.
What brought you to the Marinova team?
Originally from Brazil, I moved to Australia to expand my professional opportunities in the laboratory and quality sectors. I was drawn to Marinova because of its reputation for scientific innovation and leadership in the production of fucoidan extracts. The company’s focus on sustainability and quality aligns with my own values, and I saw Marinova as the ideal environment to continue growing professionally while contributing to products that have a positive global impact.
What are some of the day-to-day activities in your role?
I carry out chemical and physical analyses at various stages of the fucoidan extraction process, from raw seaweed to the final product, ensuring all materials meet Marinova’s quality benchmarks. My work includes monitoring critical parameters such as concentration, composition, and stability to maintain process consistency and product integrity. I keep detailed and accurate laboratory records and regularly interpret data trends to support troubleshooting and continuous improvement. In addition, I actively collaborate with the R&D team on experimental trials, offering analytical input to refine formulations and assist in the development of new product lines.
