Marinova scientists present findings at ISAP 2014 conference
Marinova’s Chief Scientist, Dr Helen Fitton, and Operations Manager, Dr Damien Stringer, presented papers at the 5th Congress of the International Society for Applied Phycology meeting in Sydney, Australia on the 25th June 2014. Drs Fitton and Stringer presented findings from their most recent research into the bioactivity of fucoidan.
ISAP 2014 was attended by more than 600 delegates from around the world, with presentations from global thought leaders on the potential for algae to solve many of the major challenges currently confronting society. Presentations at the conference highlighted the diverse uses and benefits of algae including the progress being made in utilizing seaweed in the areas of biofuel production, anti-biotic substitution and 3D printing for human health applications.
